1. Apply Red Tape to clean, dry surfaces. Dust and dirt reduce the contact area of the underlying adhesive. 2. Use a tape dispenser. This will allow the tape to spin freely as it unrolls so that you can use your other hand to... 3. Press down evenly on Red Tape as you apply it to a surface. An even application prevents bunching and increases the adhesive surface contact area. 4. Do not stretch Red Tape when applying to a surface. Pressing the tape down to the application surface as you apply it greatly reduces any possibility of stretching. 5. Save tape. Red Tape uses a repeating one foot pattern but you are not limited to using the crosshairs at the one foot mark as a starting point. A foot from any point is the same distance. You can save tape by using whatever inch your tape is set at (e.g. five inches) as your “zero” starting point. Just measure to the next repeating mark (e.g. to the next five-inch mark) to arrive at your next foot. 6. Be prepared. Always consider the job at hand and the tools you need before you begin a project and you shouldn’t have to stop what you’re doing and run around trying to hunt down tools like Red Tape throughout your project. |
